And boy was it ever busy. Friday I did my usual laundry, had a quick supper, and then headed to my friend Gabby's apartment for a party. She's actually moved out of the place a few weeks ago, but they still had custody of the apartment until today, so she decided to throw a good-bye party for the apartment. There was enjoyment of substances, beer, wine, Baileys... haha... it was a good night. At one point, the 10 of us just sat around giggling, throwing playing cards at each other across the room. I left on the last bus and went home, had some Mr. Noodle and hit the hay at just before 4AM.

Saturday, I slept in until a glorious 1:30PM, when my cat Caramel decided that I had had enough sleep and that he would sit practically on my face, purring like mad and demanding attention until I woke. From there, I woke, made myself some awesome cheesy fried egg sammiches, and went wardrobe shopping! I picked up this huge, 6 foot tall, 4 foot wide, 2 foot deep Black and Decker wardrobe at a Canadian Tire. It weighs, a fuckton. Two guys needed to manhandle the box into my car. Which means getting it out was so much fun. I wound up ripping the box open, taking out the parts individually, and then carrying them up in parts to my 3rd floor apartment.

It took me three hours to put it together. Three. Damn. Hours. I was alone. They recommended 2-4 people put it together. But I did it alone. TAKE THAT WARDROBE! I CONQUERED YOU! And now my arms and hands are sore and killing me today... that thing was a bitch to build. The worst part is that, once I move out, I won't be able to take it with me, just because of the way it's built. It's only really held stable by this weird cardboard back panel, which is nailed to the frame. And removing it is next to impossible really, not without tearing it to bits anyway. And it's way too big and heavy to get out of the apartment in one piece. Oh well, for $130, and as huge as it is and all that it will hold in my no-closets apartment, it's a loss I'll accept. I don't plan on moving away for a while anyway. But yeah, the whole wardrobe fiasco took up my entire day. Because by the time I had bought it, gotten it inside, had supper, built it, and re-arranged my bedroom so it would fit and things not be retarded, it was about 2AM.

On Sunday, I woke, did dishes, made some blueberry buttermilk pancakes for breakfast and then went out with my friends Tina and René to the Pride Parade. Luckily, no rain hit us, and it was fun. I also was able to add another 9 condoms to my 'condoms I have picked up in strange places/strange condoms' collection, which is always nice. If I get un-lazy enough, I may even post photos from the parade.

Then later in the day, I moved the tarantulas Thor, Hunter and Dmitry into larger containers, because they've all molted recently and needed the space. Check them out!

My little Thorling, growing into his adult colours!

Hunter in his bigger container. Such a fiesty little thing!

And my little Dmitry!

And my little Thorlings growth, through 4 molts. The first photo is from January, last from August.

And yep, that's about it... it's payday this week, which is nice, but I don't really get to touch any of it since it all goes to rent and my bills and my credit card... Next weekend I'm driving back to my parents' for the long weekend. It's the Pow-Wow weekend so I'll probably be checking that out. I should probably try to get a bit more work done now... heh. Cheers!
