Meaning this is going to be the post that holds all my photos from the War Museum, from my trip to Montréal and the Biodôme and Insectarium there, as well as everything that happened this past weekend. I really need to get this all out of the way already!

But first... I will talk about my weekend. I had an absolutely amazing weekend. Busy as all hell. But amazing. On Friday, I finished work at 4PM, and joined my friend Helen at the gym. We spent half an hour in a really intense cycling class, a first for both of us. I think I might go again this week... we'll see. I only joined the gym 2 weeks ago, and I've yet to start with my trainer. I might wait until the trainer gets me into slightly better shape first, or at least shows me how to use the in-house equipment so I can do more than just the classes when I'm there.

Anyway, then I went home, had supper, went out to do laundry, came home, got ready real fast and then out I went again. I went to my friend Minda's friends' place. We were going to a little rave at the Eri Cafe, on Somerset. Great place. Anyway, much fun was had by all, with drugs and good psytrance to be enjoined. I had a love affair with this guy's shirt for a good while... he had it painted like stars and planets and stuff, was really wicked. I tried mushrooms for the first time, and it was quite the thing. Definitely going to try it again in the future.

What I wore on Friday. You should have seen that dress glow in the black lights! It was kind of funny because at one point, as we were walking to the rave, we walked by this gang argument, and I remember thinking "Wow, this movie is weird" and then I realized it was real life and not a movie so I stopped staring and started walking faster haha... And this guy Berny at the cafe kept trying to hit on me, but he had a big nose, and all I really wanted to do was dance and enjoy how amazing my hands looked heh. And I think someone mistook me for a prostitute on my way home or something because this guy was driving down Bronson and suddenly pulled over, ran across the street, and started trying to talk to me. He was pulling out a cigarette and trying to shake my hand and I was just like 'No, I'm going home now.' and stuck my headphones back in my ears and kept on going. Ottawa is one weird city sometimes man.

Then Saturday I drove over to my friend Heather's, and spent the day with she and her boyfriend Stephen. We swam in their building's pool for a good bit which was nice and refreshing, and then playing Resident Evil 5 for the rest of the afternoon. I got some late night groceries done at a 24hrs Metro in Nepean and then headed home. On Sunday, Tina and I went to show jumping event out in the West End, called the National Capital Open.

I was so stoked when I realized that my favourite rider, Leslie Howard was riding that day. I've been watching this woman ride since I was a little girl, she was always my favourite. She's ridden in the Olympics and everything. She rode 3 separate horses this time, younger ones though. She wound up placing third with one of them however, which was still pretty awesome.

I'll post the photos from the horse show to start off...

This is actually Leslie Howard, on one of her horses!

And here she is doing one of her clean runs.

It's pretty crazy seeing horses jumping like that, it's almost unbelievable.

My friend Tina and I watching the show.
I'm really hoping the weather is nice next weekend too because I really want to go back to the show and see the $75, 000 Grand Prix on Sunday. It was so nice out yesterday that I got a tan though. And irritatingly, a bit of a tan across my face from my sunglasses XD Plus my knees are burnt. But oh well, being outside is good for me.

Now on the War Museum photos!

It's a sniper mitten!

This was really weird, a boot with a sole leaving the footprint of native sandals!

I would so totally wear this.

My friends have decided, should I ever marry, that I should wear this to my wedding haha...

Awesome little model! Check the guy falling off the ladder!

For the gas mask crew, you know who you are!

Another shot I took for a select few... again, you know who you are!

I just thought this was amazing.

Part of a 'battlefield walk-through' and this guy kinda made me laugh.

Their medical kits are gruesome and frightening.

Oh look guys, Hitler's car!

This thing took one helluva beating.

*sneak sneak*

My friends Tina and Dustin.

Dustin and a life size nuclear bomb replica.

This thing spent all those years in a bog... crazy eh?

Okay, so that's it for the War Museum photos! I actually took a ton more but forced myself to only post the really good/interesting ones or else I'd have been here all night posting them. And considering how few people will actually look at these... not really worth the trouble eh.

So now I'm going to move on to my photos from my weekend in Montréal with my parents! First through the Biodôme, and then the Insectarium.

The tower on the Sports Center next to the Biodôme. Also where we saw AC/DC that night.

It was awesome in there, but too many damn kids!

Monkeys!

Pretty stream!

Parrots!

Ginormous fish and my dad's elbow!

Piranhas!

Poison dart frogs!

A very large camen there in the water.

Really weird, pretty tropical flower.

Ducky!

A blurry photo of a lynx with a rat. Poor thing was pacing like crazy.

This is a Sturgeon, a huuuge fish. My hometown of Sturgeon Falls was named after them.

I used to swim with these when I was little. This one was about 8 feet long and probably weighed around 225lbs.

Penguins!

A silly little Puffin, bathing in the jet of water, so cute.

Lookit! Baby lemur! And I love how they have popsicles haha...

A crazy awesome hand puppet I found - but didn't bring myself to buy - in the Biodôme gift shop.

Me messing around with the hand puppet, and talking to my dad.
Notice the woman's ass crack in the background XD

Now on the to Insectarium!

A whole new meaning to 'bug jewelery'. I'd wear it, it's gorgeous.

This butterfly is actually in an episode of the Magic School Bus. Anybody remember that?!

Yes, somebody invented a reel to reel up spider silk.

One huge ass walking stick bug.

Oh look, a black widow! It was inside a container, inside another container. Paranoid much?

Whipscorpion!

This tarantula, a Brachypelma smithi or Mexcian Red Knee tarantula, is the one most used in films because they are docile and easy to handle but yet grow large and are brightly coloured.

Atlas beetle!

Nasty, evil centipede!

A Nhandu coloratovillosus, an adult of the same species as my spiderling Nyx.

An asian tarantula species.

Cockroaches!

A tree dwelling tarantula, the Avicularia avicularia or Pink Toe. I can buy a baby of these for $5-10.

And the plushie I got myself! A scorpion!
And that's all folks! 132 photos from the museums and whatnot alone... can you see why I was holding off doing that?! Argh. Well, it's almost 10PM so I'm going to relax and head to bed soon. Cheers!
